Karl Whelpdale
Karl leads Portal and has over 20 years experience within the global staffing arena.
Karl has been a key figure in the ever growing Recruitment Outsourcing and Managed Service market and has held senior positions at Adecco, Harvey Nash, Hy-phen Workforce Management Solutions and Spring. Karl has also worked with Citigroup as Senior Buyer for HR Services for Mainland Europe, with additional procurement responsibility for all Flexible Staffing Services for the Asia Pacific region.
During his time in the industry, Karl has developed numerous Vendor Management Solutions at a global level for organisations including Merrill Lynch, CSC, AT&T, Citigroup and Rank Xerox.
As well as having a wealth of experience within search, selection and volume resourcing, Alasdair has developed resourcing solutions for BT, Goldman Sachs, Reuters, IBM and Transport for London. He has operated extensively within the public and private sector and as an Account Director has led the resourcing delivery for Boots Healthcare, London Underground, Scottish Widows and Microsoft. Prior to joining Portal, Alasdair worked for Barkers Norman Broadbent (BNB), Alexander Mann Solutions and Accenture.
Alasdair’s early career was spent as an Army Officer with Airborne Forces.
